Policies

General Policies

  • Gum is never allowed in class.

  • Talking in class should always be kept to a minimum. If a teacher feels that a student is talking too much, the student will be asked to sit out of class for being disruptive. If this continues to be a problem, the director and teacher will ask to meet with the family to discuss the issue.

Dress Code Policies

  • Jeans are never allowed in dance class.

  • Students are required to wear proper dance shoes. No socks!

  • Students should not wear dresses in class.

  • Hair must be secured out of the face and should never be a distraction.

  • Dancers should always wear comfortable attire that facilitates movement.

  • Appropriate dancewear can be purchased at our studio. As a Capezio vendor, we sell shoes, leotards and more!

  • For more specific information on dress code recommendations for each class, click HERE.

Absence Policies

  • The studio needs to be notified of all absences prior to the beginning of the missed class. If the studio office is not informed of the absence before the start of class, the student will not be eligible to take a make-up class.

  • Occasionally, the studio has scheduled closures (for example, during the holidays). Families are expected to pay full tuition at the beginning of the month as per usual. Tuition is based on an average number of classes throughout the entire season, not on the number of classes in a specific month.

Make-Up Policies

  • Make-up classes should be done within the same month of the absence. If the absence is within the last week of the month, the make-up class can be done any time within the following month.

  • Make-up classes are only applicable to students paying tuition. Drop-in students are not eligible for make-up classes.

  • If you/your child will be attending a class as a make-up class, please inform the studio office prior to the day of the make-up class so we can properly notify the teacher.
