Tuition, Class Card and Studio Use Policies - Tuition and studio use fees are due on the first class of each month. - A late fee of $15 will be added after the 15th day of the month. - Class cards expire 1 year (365 days) from the date of original purchase. - Bounced checks will incur an extra $35 fee.
Absences/Make-Up Policies - The studio needs to be notified of all absences prior to the beginning of the missed class. If the director, the instructor, and/or the office staff are not informed before class starts, the student will not be eligible to take a make-up class. - Make-up classes should be done within the same month of the absence. If the absence is within the last week of the month, the make-up class can be done any time within the following month. - Make-up classes are only applicable to students paying tuition. Drop-in students are not eligible for make-up classes. - If you/your child will be attending a class as a make-up class, please inform the studio prior to the day of the make-up class so the teacher can be notified. - Occasionally the studio has scheduled closures (for example, during the holidays). Tuition is based off of an average of classes throughout the season and not the number of classes in each month. Families are expected to pay full tuition at the beginning of the month as per usual.
Private Lesson Policies - In the event that you/your child need to cancel or reschedule a private lesson, please contact the studio by phone at (805) 225-6078 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. - To avoid any fees for a cancelled or rescheduled lesson, please contact the studio at least 24 hours prior to your lesson. Lessons canceled less than 24 hours ahead of time are forfeited (will be deducted from package or charged hourly) to pay for the instructor's scheduled time. - In the event that you/your child arrive late for a lesson, the lesson will still end at the scheduled time and you will be charged the full amount for the lesson.
General Policies - Gum is never allowed in class. - Talking in class should always be kept to a minimum. If a teacher feels that a student is talking too much, the student will be asked to sit out of class for being disruptive. If this continues to be a problem, the director and teacher will ask to meet with the family to discuss the issue.
